Panto hopes will boost church funds

contentBudding stars of the stage are being called upon to help bring back a community pantomime and help raise vital funds for the local church.

Members of Dyke Church are planning to stage a community pantomime to raise money for its access project.

It has put feelers out to the local community to gauge interest.

The planned panto, Cindermia 2 will take place next March and is a follow up to Cindermia which took place in the Village Hall in 2009.

A letter put out to the community stated: “This type of event can only go ahead with sufficient support. To enable such an event to take place we need volunteers, only when we have the required support will we be able to move forward. Depending on the level of volunteers, it is hoped to put on the pantomime in mid March 2018. It’s all about fun not how good individual talent is.”

The letter states they need support with: cast, scenery, music & sound, PR (programmes, tickets), costume support, hall/backstage support, hospitality, and raffle.
