Clubs and groups

Dyke & District Village Hall has the following regular clubs and groups using the hall.

All of the clubs and groups would welcome new members so please contact the organisers below for further information if you are interested. If you have a club that you would like to start up please contact us!

cuppa and cakeBite & a Blether

On the last Wednesday of each month, from 11.00am to 1.00pm, there is a social coffee/soup gathering provided jointly by the Hall and Church. Anyone is welcome to come and join in, chat and be part of the community. We offer homebakes, bread/scones, a variety of soups, coffee and tea. Our soups and cakes are now legendary!! Bargain price of £4 for soup and bread/scone plus coffee/tea and cake.

dancing classDance Club

On Tuesday evenings from 6pm there is a dance club offering classes in Ballroom, Latin American and Line Dancing plus monthly social dances.

Parents and Toddlers Group

On Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 11.30am the Dyke Parents & Toddlers Group meet in the Hall.

It is a social occasion for parents and a free play session with lots of toys for the children to play with. The parents enjoy a hot drink and biscuit or cake and the children receive a drink and snack. At the end of the session there is a short song time. Everyone welcome, please contact the Dyke Pre-School for more information.

Bowling Club

On most Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7pm, between September and March, the Indoor Bowling Club meet in the hall. It is a friendly club who play for enjoyment but also compete in the Nairnshire League. New members, both young and not so young, are always welcome. Junior Badminton

badmintonOn Thursday evenings during term time, there is Junior Badminton in the Hall. P2-4 children play from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and P5-7 children play from 6.30pm – 9.00pm.
